College students voice opposition to mayor's 'Fair Share Tax' - Adam Brandolph, TRIBUNE-REVIEW

Dozens of college students showed up at City Hall this morning to voice opposition to Mayor Luke Ravenstahl's so-called "Fair Share Tax" and present to city council more than 10,000 signatures against the 1 percent tuition tax proposal. Student organizers are hoping at least one city council member joins their cause. "We just need to change one person's mind," said Daniel Jimenez, president of the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly at the University of Pittsburgh. "Hopefully, we'll be able to change somebody's mind." One vote could make the difference in whether the nine-member council approves the tax.
