Purdue, others face budget cuts - ERIC WEDDLE, JC Online

Purdue University officials said they expect to begin budget cuts very soon after Friday's announcement that Gov. Mitch Daniels will reduce public college and university funding by $150 million. Purdue President France Córdova said it is no surprise that Daniels is pulling back appropriations in light of lower-than-forecast state revenues. "This is now. We are not talking about the next biennium" she said. "We have to find where to make this happen now."
