Ohio State Extension may cut more staff - Carol Biliczky, Akron Beacon

The Ohio State Extension Service is laying off staff who provide training in gardening, agriculture and nutrition. The university cut 22 employees last week and may eliminate 38 more positions throughout the state because of budget problems. ''Given the incredibly difficult economy, we, too, are called to sacrifice,'' Keith Smith, director of the OSU Extension, said in a news release.
