S. Dakota universities wrestle with budget cuts - Jon Walker, Argus Leader

South Dakota's public universities are scrambling to address last-minute budget cuts this spring without sacrificing plans to expand academic programs for next fall. The public schools and related services must trim $1.7 million from their costs and are identifying several times that amount to set aside for campus needs should a soft economy grow worse.
