UM Foundation orders unpaid leaves in weakened economy - Great Falls Tribune

A major fundraiser for the University of Montana says a downturn in the economy and stock market has forced the organization to issue unpaid furloughs for its staff and to cut back on its contributions to employee retirement plans. Laura Brehm, president and CEO of the UM Foundation, said the organization asked its 47-member staff Monday to take 13 days off between the end of April and the end of October.
