University of Iowa President Sally Mason said that the university has six task forces considering budget-saving measures such as the feasibility of furloughs, early retirement, class size changes and increasing teaching loads. “We are examining every program and function at the University of Iowa,” Mason said Thursday at the Iowa state Board of Regents meeting in Iowa City.
