Broward College cuts back to 4-day workweek - LUISA YANEZ, Miami Herald

In a lean financial year, Broward College has decided to go to a four-day schedule in the summer in an effort to save money. Broward College will go dark one work-day a week in the summertime, a move expected to save the college thousands of dollars in energy costs. Many campus buildings will be closed on Fridays, from May 15 to Aug. 14. Anticipating more reductions in state funding, BC is trying to be proactive with its budgeting.
