The ongoing verbal jousting match between Montana's universities and Gov. Brian Schweitzer over funding for higher education in the next two years intensified Friday, with the governor cautioning administrators that their push for more state funding is unwelcome in the waning days of the Legislature. “It's inexplicable the actions of the two major universities over the last two weeks,” Schweitzer said in a telephone interview. “I'm their biggest advocate and they are their biggest opponent to getting more money.”
