MIT cuts 8 varsity sports - Associated Press

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology, with one of the deepest college athletic programs in the nation, says it will cut eight of its 41 varsity sports in a money-saving move.... The cuts were made to trim $485,000 from the athletic department’s $9.7 million budget.
