Tuition increases threaten Western's diversity - Western (Washington) Front

Most students could use an extra $600 per year in these troubling economic times. But students and families will find no help from Gov. Chris Gregoire. Gregoire has proposed to increase state-funded colleges and university’s tuition costs by 14 percent, approximately $600 more per year for the average in-state Western student. The increase would help Western and other state colleges adjust to proposed budget cuts by the House and Senate to higher education.
