Cal State University faces budget cuts, increased fees - SABRA STAFFORD, Turlock Journal

With the California State University system facing a tightening budget and the possibility of future cuts, Chancellor Charles Reed said he will recommend a 10 percent tuition increase for students. Locally, CSU Stanislaus has to deal with a $6.2 million shortfall that officials say will affect enrollment, course availability, and may lead to future lay-offs.
