(RJ Sangosti, The Denver Post)As the federal government tries to create a new economy out of the ashes of an 8.6 percent unemployment rate, Colorado's colleges and universities are carving out a plan for what thousands of incoming 18-year-olds will need to know. At Colorado State University, the engineering department is seeking professors able to teach classes on building "smart" electrical grids. The University of Denver is downscaling expectations that finance majors will leave with $50,000 signing bonuses.
