Junior colleges brace for more student enrollment - Lesley Wright, The Arizona Republic

Maricopa Community Colleges expect a surge of new students this fall as adults and high-school graduates face a double whammy of rising university costs and a bleak job market. "Our faculty saw an increase of students over the last year and heard from many that it was due to the job market," said Barry Vaughan, president of the college district's faculty association. "We are expecting a major increase in the fall as the universities price people out."
