Nicholls lists programs endangered by budget - Daniel McBride, Daily Comet

A lengthy list of programs and departments at Nicholls State University face cutbacks, outright elimination and layoffs if the Legislature pulls $5.3 million in state money, according to a report released Thursday by the university. The list includes five bachelor's-degree programs, three associate-degree programs and four areas of study within the health-sciences program. Some academic programs would be entirely eliminated.
