The recession is making a tough decision even more difficult. In a recent national poll of college-bound high school seniors, two-thirds of respondents said the economy has had a direct impact and almost one-third said their parents' income had declined. According to the poll by The College Board, and market research firm Art & Science Group, one in six said economic circumstances had forced them to change their college plans. The situation is just as complicated for the colleges.
