UMD still scrambling due to cuts in funding - Grant Welker, Dartmouth Herald

State aid to the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth has been slashed by $9 million over the past year, leaving the university to trim faculty and staff, drop two of its five vice chancellors, and increase enrollment for greater revenue. The shortfall is compounded by other obligations, like a mandatory increase in reserves and more financial aid in response to student fee increases.
