College students could feel brunt of state's budget woes - SABRA STAFFORD, Turlock Journal

The California State University system, which has long prided itself on offering an affordable education, may slip out of reach for some students if the governor's new budget plans are enacted. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's newest budget proposal to close the state's more than $24 billion deficit includes reducing the CSU and UC budgets by $335 million and phasing out the Cal Grant program over the next few years.
