U of I could see 130 layoffs by July 2010 - ERIN JORDAN, Des Moines Register

University of Iowa President Sally Mason said today the university could cut up to 130 positions to save nearly $11 million for the fiscal year that begins July 1, 2010. The number of layoffs from the 15,000-employee work force depends on the number of employees who take advantage of early retirement plans, Mason told the Iowa Board of Regents this morning.
