UNO Baseball Coach Going To Wake Forest - WDSU

University of New Orleans baseball coach Tom Walter confirmed to WDSU NewsChannel 6 on Saturday that he will be named the new head baseball coach at Wake Forest University. Walter was the highest paid baseball coach in the Sun Belt conference, making close to $200,000 annually. Sources said that Walter applied for the Wake Forest position due to Louisiana state budget cuts to education that could force UNO to drop athletics.
