Budget cuts at the University of Wyoming have canceled all but 10 enrichment courses that were going to be offered this summer. The university is cutting its state-funded expenditures by about 10%, or $18 million. The cuts were announced earlier this month and included closing the Center for Conferences and Continuing Education. Dean of Student Outreach Maggie Murdock says some opportunities previously offered by the university should still be available in Laramie. She suggested that the local recreation center could offer youth golf.
