Hundreds protest UCF budget cuts - WOFL FOX 35

Students and professors at the University of Central Florida are not going down without a fight. Hundreds of them turned out for a budget meeting on Monday afternoon, asking board members to look at the importance of the programs slated to be cut due to funding. The university is proposing getting rid of three majors, including Engineering Technology and Management Information Systems. Doing so, school administrators said, will save $4.6 million. About 37 professors will be let go and more than a thousand students will be affected by the cuts.
