Cal State Fullerton cancels classes due to state budget - Los Angeles Business from bizjournals
As more people are looking to higher education now that the economy has spiraled downward, students at California State, Fullerton may be out of luck because of the state's current fiscal crisis. In an open letter, Acting dean of California State, Fullerton, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Angela Della Volpe stated that to deal with the most recent cuts, the College of Humanities and Social Sciences has been forced to cancel several classes in which students already are enrolled. Stating that the cancellations were unavoidable, Volpe said state funding and the recent increase in students’ fees are inadequate to staff a sufficient number of classes needed to meet student demand.
