Budget Cuts Force SDSU Admission Policy Changes - Maureen Cavanaugh, Natalie Walsh, KPBS

The reality of California state budget cuts to higher education has hit home with a vengeance recently. San Diego State University has announced it’s changing its admissions policy for local students applying for freshman enrollment in 2010. Campuses throughout the California State University system have been ordered to reduce their student enrollment but it’s been left up to individual campuses to figure out how. The way SDSU has decided to reduce costs and its student population has created a furor among local educators.
