Budget shortfall hits state college student grants - Oregon Outlook

About 38,000 Oregon college students receiving state opportunity grants could see their spring term awards cut because of budget shortfalls. The Oregon Student Assistance Commission decided Thursday in Eugene that the grants would have to be reduced to balance a projected budget shortfall in its $57 million 2009-10 budget.
