Mendocino College staff agree to pay cut - Ukiah Daily Journal

In an unprecedented move, the faculty, staff and administration of Mendocino College have agreed to a 4 percent salary reduction beginning Jan. 1. All regular employees, from classified workers to the superintendent/president, will be earning 4 percent less for a period of 18 months. According to Vice President of Administrative Services Larry Perryman, this voluntary reduction in pay will save the college more than $600,000 over this 18-month period. "The state budget crisis and the resulting decrease in funding to education have created an $800,000 deficit for Mendocino College for the 2010-2011 fiscal year.
