With the continuing economic uncertainty crippling Washington state revenue, Olympic College’s budget will be significantly cut in the future as the school prepares for news from the state legislature. “To date we have not been directed to cut this year’s budget by any specific amount,” said OC President David Mitchell. “There will be budget reductions for the second year of the biennium which is next year.” While the budget reductions likely will not go into effect until the second biennium on July 1, 2011, the amount being speculated at this point ranges from $1 - $1.5 million.
