Purdue University, some faculty at odds over benefits proposal - ERIC WEDDLE, Journal Courier

In an impassioned talk Monday, Purdue University President France Córdova asked faculty to band together in the wake of disagreements over proposed benefit changes. Speaking to the monthly meeting of the University Senate, a group of about 100 faculty members, Córdova answered critics of the controversial proposal to reduce retirement contributions. She said it would create salary increases, reduce budget shortfalls, help push the university further into prominence and attract faculty.
