Budget cuts lead to $1.3 million shortfall at Ocean County College - ERIK LARSEN, Asbury Park Press

Ocean County College announced this morning that cuts in state aid and grant money will force the campus to take immediate cost-saving measures to close a more than $1 million deficit in its operating budget this year. In a written statement, college officials said Gov. Chris Christie's efforts to close the state's $2 billion deficit in the current fiscal year would mean that OCC would receive $511,000 less state funding than budgeted.
