Budget cuts mean fewer student opportunities - Danielle Tepper, LHU Eagle Eye

Dr. Linda Koch, Vice President for Student Affairs, confirmed, "The university is examining a number of possible budget cuts for the 2011-2012 academic year. It is anticipated that the university will need to cut $3.8 million. In Student Affairs, the Internship Coordinator position is a temporary one-year position that is currently being reviewed for that reason. The efforts that have been made by Anita Casper have benefitted a great number of students and it would be very disappointing to have to discontinue her contribution. We are continuing to examine ways to find funding for this position but that may not be possible. I appreciate the support of students and faculty members in identifying this position as being important to them."
