Humboldt State University is preparing to eliminate a number of academic programs as the campus seeks to offset state budget cuts. After months of discussion, the Academic Senate is expected to make recommendations for program cuts to HSU Provost Bob Snyder by April 20. Snyder will then make recommendations to President Rollin Richmond, who will make the final decision. Representatives from the 14 programs targeted for possible elimination are expected to plead their cases to the senate.
