Vigil planned to protest Dartmouth budget cuts - Associated Press

Dartmouth College students, faculty, staff and their supporters are holding a vigil to protest budget cuts and layoffs at the Ivy League school. The 24-hour vigil starts at noon Saturday on the college green, while trustees meet nearby to discuss how to erase a $100 million deficit brought on by the recession. A similar protest was staged in February when 38 non-teaching employees were laid off.
