East Carolina University may be facing a larger budget cut than expected if the recommendation of the N.C. House education budget subcommittee is included in the final state budget. The subcommittee approved a plan Thursday that would require UNC campuses and administration to find $239 million in spending cuts for the coming school year. The plan includes an increase of $139 million in cuts on top of $100 million in cuts already in the budget.
