About nine lecturers at Chico State University have received notices they may have less work or no jobs at all in the fall. Susan Green, president of the California Faculty Association at Chico State, the union representing the faculty, couldn't say exactly how many teachers got notices. That's because information from the university administration has been somewhat unclear, she said. It appears nine lecturers in three departments — communication design, philosophy and theater arts — received notices, she said.
