TWU prepares for 10 percent cut in state funding - CANDACE CARLISLE, Denton Record-Chronicle

Texas Woman's University officials are reviewing personnel and administrative costs to fulfill a directive by state officials that public universities prepare for 10 percent cuts in state funding.
Gov. Rick Perry and the Legislative Budget Board ordered in May that state universities and other agencies draw up plans to cut 10 percent of state funding for the two-year budget cycle beginning in September 2011. State lawmakers won't decide whether to finalize the 10 percent cuts until they return to session in January. The changes would affect the 2011-12 and 2012-13 academic years.
