Despite Record Enrollment, UNM Faces Budget Cuts - KOAT

University of New Mexico President David Schmidly said despite record enrollment for this fall offsetting some of the budget costs, the university is going to have to increase class sizes to balance the budget. Classes at UNM start Monday and leaders are scrambling to figure out how to make ends meet. The school is being forced to cut another 3.2 percent from its budget meaning the university is going to have to make some quick decisions.
