Humboldt State University taking spring applications, but may not accept students - The Times-Standard

The university announced Friday that when the state does complete a new budget, HSU will notify applicants of their options. If enrollment funding is increased, the admissions office will accept pending spring applications. If not, applicants will be able to switch to Fall 2011, or withdraw and receive an application fee refund.
The CSU system has provided the following admissions guidance to the 23-campus system:

”The initial application filing period for admission to the Spring 2011 term begins on Aug. 1, 2010. However, because the California governor and Legislature have not yet adopted a budget, CSU does not know how many students it can admit. While each campus will process your application conditionally, no offer of admission will be sent until we know more about the budget, including funding to support an increase in CSU's enrollment.”
