Texas A&M's faculty is weighing in on the big budget shifts at the university. In a five-question survey, most of the more than 1,200 faculty members who answered said they'd give up a pay raise to keep others employed. More than 80 percent of faculty members surveyed said they would give up a merit raise for a year if it meant saving faculty and staff jobs. Nearly 65 percent said they'd be willing to give up merit pay for two years if jobs could be saved.
