UNO students protest budget cuts - Associated Press

The University of New Orleans campus police chief was injured in a scuffle with students who refused to leave the administration building after a campus protest against deep budget cuts. Earlier Wednesday, about eight students barricaded themselves in a classroom building for about two hours. They led an outdoor rally, then went to the administration building where more than 100 students clogged the halls. UNO and other universities are facing sharp reductions in state funding.
