Budget cuts could cost UNCP 100 positions - Steve DeVane, Fay Observer

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke will likely have to eliminate about 100 positions if a state budget being considered by the House of Representatives passes, a school administrator said. R. Neil Hawk, UNCP's vice chancellor for business affairs, told school trustees about potential budget cuts during their meeting Thursday. A budget under discussion in the House would reduce funding to UNC system schools by about 15 percent.
