Community college students are having a hard time filling out their summer schedule because of fewer classes being offered. Officials of the Los Rios Community College District said that students at American River, Cosumnes River, Folsom Lake and Sacramento City colleges can't get some classes because summer class offerings are down about 25 percent because of state budget cuts. Classes started this week with 7,000 fewer students than at the same time last year. About 26,000 are enrolled.
