UCSC restructures, lays off vice chancellor of student affairs - TOVIN LAPAN, Mercury News

n a statement released late Thursday, UC Santa Cruz Executive Vice Chancellor Alison Galloway announced the restructuring of the school's student affairs department and the eventual elimination of the vice chancellor of student affairs position, held by Felicia McGinty. McGinty was appointed to the post before the 2007-2008 school year, and previously worked as the associate vice president for student engagement at Pennsylvania State University-University Park. The restructuring will result in the elimination of her position, according to the statement. McGinty had a base salary of $200,000, and made more than $194,000 in the 2009-2010 school year, the last year for which figures are available, when there was a furlough program implemented.
