University of Maine System expects to see $2.3 million in cuts - Jamison Cocklin, Maine Campus

A total of $2.3 million in appropriation cuts to the University of Maine System is expected to be approved by the state legislature this week with little objection. The move comes as no surprise to system administrators, who have been working with the Streamline and Prioritize Core Government Services Task Force since last summer as part of a larger effort by lawmakers to find greater efficiencies throughout state government.
