SF City College endures deep budget cuts; cancels classes during semester - KTVU

San Francisco City College officials are in the midst of a budget crisis so bad they had to cancel classes in the middle of this semester. City college officials said they only recently learned that the state was cuttingits budget by $3.6 million. That's on top of a $14 million cut earlier this school year, which was also on top of previous cuts. Naixi Powers said she couldn't believe it when she went to her computer class recently and her teacher announced the class was being cancelled a month into the semester.
