University of Colorado regents seek lower tuition-hike proposal for Boulder campus - THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Administrators for the University of Colorado's campus in Boulder are proposing an 8.6 percent hike for in-state tuition this year.The Daily Camera reports regents responded Wednesday by asking CU-Boulder's finance officers to come back with an alternate proposal for a 6.7 percent tuition increase. An earlier plan to raise tuition nearly 16 percent ran into opposition. A vote on any tuition increase is not expected until next month.
