Cal U. of Pa. laying off 9 managers due to budget - USA Today News

A state-owned university in southwestern Pennsylvania plans to lay off nine of its 116 nonunion management employees. Officials at California University of Pennsylvania say the cuts will affect departments including campus support and technology services, academic affairs, development, and student affairs. The cuts were made due to a decline in enrollment, increased debt and cuts in state appropriations. The California is one of 14 state-owned schools in Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education.
