=Faculty salaries haven’t kept up with inflation over the years and are not to blame for rising tuition across the country, according to a study released by the American Association of University Professors. The Washington-based advocacy group said its annual study on salaries reveals that this academic year is the third in an historic low period for full-time faculty salaries. “Contrary to a persistent myth, full-time faculty salaries are not the cause of rising tuition prices over the last three decades,” reads the report, “A Very Slow Recovery,” released Monday.
