UW outreach clinics face budget knife - Aerin Curtis, Wyoming News

Funding for dental school students and satellite medical clinics could end due to proposed budget cuts at the University of Wyoming. Included could be an outreach clinic in eastern Laramie County. UW's administration was recently asked to provide a plan for a possible 8 percent budget cut by Gov. Matt Mead. The cuts were not just to the general fund budget, said Chad Baldwin, UW spokesman. UW also was asked to plan for 8 percent cuts in medical education, the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education, or WICHE, and the Enhanced Oil Recovery Commission, he said.
