The cost of attending Framingham State University continues to rise, as the school again approves a fee increase for next year. Fees will jump $500, or 6.5 percent, according to university spokesman Dan Magazu. The increase is in line with what Framingham State has done in past years, including a $515 hike last year and $525 the year before that. Other state universities are also boosting fees, the main cost they are able to control, with tuition set by Beacon Hill. Despite its climbing prices, Framingham State, at $8,080 in tuition and fees per year for in-state students, still offers one of the best higher education deals in Massachusetts, Magazu said. “We’re doing everything we can to keep costs down,” he said. “We feel we offer great value.”
