Western Michigan University hasn’t approved their budget for the next year yet, but has already imposed 8 layoffs. We have learned the largest number came from the campus bookstore. Apparently the transition to electronic text-books has greatly altered the business model in that area of the college. At least one layoff, came from the staff at Miller Auditorium. The University isn’t offering details.
