Palomar College to cut $1.3M from budget- DEBORAH SULLIVAN BRENNAN, NC Times

Palomar College passed a tentative budget for the 2012-13 fiscal year that trims spending by more than $1 million from last year, but counts on new state taxes to forestall deeper cuts. The first draft of the budget, passed by the college Governing Board last week, could change considerably over the summer, as state spending priorities evolve. The board will consider a final version of the budget Sept. 11. The $105.3 million tentative spending plan reduces spending by $1.3 million from last year's $106.6 million budget.
